It was bad shocks that caused the uneven wear. Look at the first comparison pic to see what the other tires looked like that were on there. Remember, these tires had One hundred fifty THOUSAND (150k) miles on them....the rotation frequency was fine. It's all a moot point now though, as the tires got me to where they got me and are now replaced.

I just want to say to the OP that I am in awe of your ability to get that many miles out of a set of tires.

What tire pressure did you run to get that kind of mileage out of them?

You should, I think they are the best current all purpose off road tire out there. Firestone purposely matched them up against the BF Goodrich KM2s (the leading industry standard) when they did their launch premier offroad event in the above video, and the Firestones out performed them!

Only question is, how well they hold up over time?

I usually tried to keep them a couple PSI over stock, so around 39 PSI or so.

Looks great as a spare tire (even though it is a little narrow)!

Two more comparison shots. I'd really like some input on the perceived height / width differences. I really feel like if they are running that much narrower, that I could have gotten away with going with getting 285/70/17s!

I think the stock rubicon in the pic has the tires turned which is what's giving you the optical illusion that they're wider than yours. I haven't heard of anyone being able to run 285's without spacers or new wheels, that's more than an inch wider tire.

This is no optical illusion. Even my worn tires are noticeably wider and everyone who saw them made the same observation.

Came across a JK Rubicon, Modern Warfare Edition, with a lift and 255/75/17 Duratracs. Decided to get some comparison pictures of them next to my Firestone Destination MT2s. Is it me, or do they seem a lot wider than the Firestones? They appear to be around the same height, but the Duratracs are fairly worn, which leads me to think they are slightly taller as well.
