I wasn't going to say anything but since you asked. No the install did not go well. They scratched my hood, scratched the windshield fame, and my drivers door panel. The wiring harness that was installed is only made one length so it had about 2 feet of extra in the back that looked crappy. The wiring harness kit did not come with the tethered stopper and they claimed no jks have it. The top constantly leaked. The front panels were replaced twice. The top is wrapped during shipping with a blue tape that permanently bonded to the top and had to be sanded and repainted. It was not a pleasant experience. I will never allow the dealer to do anything like that again.
Yep I want to make sure I'm right there during the install.

Not trying to sound snide or start anything at all, but I take off my top by myself as well I put it on! Its not that heavy. Hearing it called an "install" sounds odd to me to.

Though I tried in my TJ once and that thing almost crushed me, thank gawd for the freedom top!

Took it in today and ended up leaving without them touching it, the guy told me it would take 3.5 hours and im like to change the top, I took it off and had it back on in 30 mins to remove the soft top I told him and he said they they just shipped the bare top and all the glass would have to be switched out . I said heck no I will live with that little crack under the screw, and I cant even see a way that a person could even take the side glass out let alone replace it with scratching the shit out of the top.

Also the service guy was a rude prick and even though they gave me free oil changes or life they will get to keep their oil because I will change it my dang self before they ever touch my Jeep in that service dept.

Btw I orderd this top saver kit off from ebay and was wondering if anyone has ever used them?

Yeh I was a parts manger at Chevrolet\Chrysler delaership for a couple years right out of high school and we were careful of who we hired and how they looked and in all honesty the one of the guys that worked in the garage had almost more metal attached to his face than my Jeep has, very unprofessional.

Also I seen them working on a new Durango and when they got done the tech was roasting the tires behind the garage , I would have fired him on the spot if I was the manger. So glad I just told them to pull my little black Sahara and left, the look on the guys face was a Kodak moment. But I will buy from them again because their sales and finace dept are top notch but will probably talk to them about my observations in their service dept even though thats not my style I hate to see peoples stuff get trashed.
