Next model jeep feature requests & predictions???
Anybody have a feature request or a prediction about the next model jeep wrangler????
With the new engine out this year many people are trading up. I've decided that a diesel or a new model would have to movitate me.
- Can we get a diesel? With all the talk about Europe gaining tighter diesel restrictions like the US already has, we may finally get one. Since they currently offer one over-seas
- I wonder how a truck based model would influence the new JEEP platform. (ie) frame, width, heavier duty components?
- I bet the hood will regain shape similar to how the TJ had
- I could see the fenders being re-imagined in some kind of way
- I could see a factory Bedliner option from the factory
- Sadly I wonder how much longer a foldable windshield will be included?
- Wonder what premium customer options they'll include to P-off the loyal jeep purists (i.e. Back up cameras)
-I wonder what the new initials will be, lol - JT, JX, JC?
Don't know, just thinking out loud....way ahead.

The Dodge Rams are getting factory bedliner from the assembly line now, so it's been a rumor that jeep could offer it in replace of carpet.

Requests:
1. Make the front passenger seat fold down flat so you can carry long objects like skis and boards, pipe, soffits etc.
2. Rubber liner inside (like the FJ) instead of carpet. Would be quieter than bedliner.
3. Factory rack or hooks on hardtop.
4. Beef up the tailgate to handle a 35. Like the extra bracing on the J8 tailgate.
5. BETTER HEADLIGHTS!!!

Well, you'll never see a factory bedlined interior as an option. No market for it, we are the minority. Maybe something else to replace carpeting but never bedlining.
I personally would love a backup camera. Tremedously useful on the road or on the trail!!! If you've ever used one, you'd know how much it helped. I understand being a purist, but I hate backing up on a trail and that would make it sooo much easier.

I would love it if the front seat folded down for longer items and I still can't believe after all these years they haven't added some type if simple roof rack to the hardtops. Or at the very least made it an option at time of buying.

I predict...
Decals
I would like to see....
Factory lift option
Factory 33's & 35's
hood latches stronger than elastic bands
Olive Drab colour option
Diesel
a free sponge baseball cap to soak up hard top leaks
a warranty that is the same for Canada and the USA!

I would doubt there will be any really dramatic changes. A few more luxury options like cooled seats, maybe heated windshield like Land Rovers. Backup camera, more sound and heat insulation in the hardtop and hopefully HID or LED headlamps. LED lights all around would be nice so less worry about bulds burning out or breaking.
Honestly as succesful as the Jeep is in its current state they will know better than to really mess with the formula. Its a huge money maker for chrysler that's sells almost as fast as they are built.

High volume rear a/c vent that runs thru the center console to help cooling for the back seat passengers. And of course a DIESEL. I would trade my 2012 in a heartbeat for a diesel model.
