Ditto, almost all the Sahara's we looked at were auto's. We held out until we found a 6speed.

My guess is that they assume any real jeeper will get the Rubicon and Soccer moms will get the Sahara so they will want Auto's. :(

 

Hmm. . . .I just purchased my 4-door, Red Rock Sahara, 6-speed manual 4x4 last week in central Florida.

Must have sent the 4x's to Florida!

 

So, quick update. My 2 dr hardtop Rubicon was ordered 3.9. I heard about the 6sp restriction yesterday. Was at BX since 3.9. Found out today moved to D!!!! So I guess the 6sp is resolved? Or I somehow snuck in. Either way, it looks like I'll be built within the next week!!!!!!

THE ONLY CONCERN I HAVE IS WHY IS DUAL TOPS AN OPTION FOR THE SAHARA 4 DOOR WHEN THE SOFT TOP COMES STANDARD. I SIMPLE ORDERED THE HARTOP AND SAVE A TON OF MONEY. STILL WAITING 5 WEEKS AND COUNTING.

and lol, you're right, soft top comes standard. but if you order a hard top, you lose your soft top

that's why dual tops are an expensive option!

Like superboo said, if you ordered the Hard Top option ($695?), you will only get a Hard Top, and the Soft Top will not come with it. You have to order dual tops to get both Hard and Soft tops.

 

IMHO, they've had a TSB on the 6-speed manual tranny and really need to resolve that problem at the factory before sending out anymore. It must really hurt D-C to replace a couple of washers and spacers on each 6-speed built! I've had my Jeep all of 10 days and it's in the shop for this fix as we speak. :sad:

Keep up the faith brothers! It really is worth the wait!

 

Where can you see the TSB for the 6spd?
