not tool savvy
so i need some help.
1. what tool would i use to cut thin metal.. say the factory bumper to make it look like this
2. also im wanting to make the stubby factory bumper but im clueless about plastic welding. i just dont understanding the soldering gun part of it. i've read the write up from rubimon about it but im still uncertain. any help is appreciated as always guys

You can also use a sawzall with a metal blade, a jigsaw with a metal blade, or a cutting wheel on a grinder. But like Baltchief said, a plasma cutter would work great too!

I don't know the gauge of the bumper sheet metal, but "thin sheetmetal" (up to 18 gauge) is easily cut with an air nibbler. I use the Ingersoll-Rand here: sjdiscounttools.com/ir325.html. Works great! There are also hand versions, but I think they work only with the lightest materials.
