A Note on AEV
I finally got my 2.5" and my Argent Savegres on, but I had a rough experience getting the wheels wanted to post up a quick note on AEV. I had a terrible experience with my local AEV dealer when I tried to buy the wheels from them instead of Northridge whom I usually deal with. I felt good about supporting a local business even though it was a 'stealership' because they're suppose to be enthusiasts who 'get it.' After this experience I reached out to Matt and Dave at AEV via email just to let them know what went on. Matt emailed me back quickly but then to get an email back from Dave personally went a long way. A lot of people take issue with AEV's no discounting and a couple of other things, but at the end of the day they're a top notch company and there's a reason their brand is as strong as it is. Yeah, maybe it'll take a little longer to save for AEV parts versus their 'competitors, but for me it goes a long way to know that those dollars are going to guys who care about their brand, their customers, and who are accessible if something goes wrong. A lot of companies will put you in touch with customer service reps with very little power to make things right. At AEV the guys who can make things happen are easily accessible and that's, in my opinion, why they can charge what they charge and are constantly outpacing their competitors.
Also for those of you who don't know or are wondering, the Dave I referred to in my story is Dave Harriton, founder of AEV.
