Give me the Diesel!!!
Drove a 2011 4dr JK with the Diesel in it and what a difference it was compared to my 2 door I have. It was noticeably faster and the mini computer showed an average MPG of 20+. I just don't get why it isn't an option? I would say it isn't a case of refinement anymore as the diesel was just barely louder than the standard 3.8 we all have now.

Any clue ?
v6 pentastar might be an improvement, but I'm not sure it will be such a big difference... Otherwise I'm going to take the supercharger route...

We'll want more. Ford is getting 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet out of its 3.5-liter twin turbo EcoBoost engine. They estimate it costs $1000 more than a V-8 to build. Chrysler needs to offer something like that as a high end option in the Jeep (plus it will give those die-hard "Jeep's-gotten too-complicated-so-it's-no-longer-really-a-Jeep" voices something new to complain about).
My first major mod after I bought my 07 shows how confident I am in seeing an OEM V-8 for the Wrangler.
I also believe that the new Pentastar, while probably an improvement, is not going put the regear, superchip, or V-8 aftermarket companies out of business.

Totally wouldn't surprise me given the current trend of the Patriot, Commander, and Comp-ass.
