1. More than 87 octane on the stock tune won't add power unless there is a problem with the engine that makes it run poorly on 87.
2. I rotate each 6,000 miles.
3. If spending the money on a Jeep puts a burden on the family, a responsible family man won't buy one until it can be afforded, so getting permission shouldn't enter into it.

The only way to do it is to have a wife/gf who is into Jeeps as much as you do, or at least close enough.

"It's a safety issue honey". It's working real good except I have to figure out another line for getting flat fenders.

Favorite comment from my wife this year: "I don't like wondering if we'll get to the top of these hills. Don't you think you should put some lockers in this Jeep?"

87 octane. I ran premium for a few months to compare. No measurable difference. My best and worst milages were pretty much the same no matter what was in the tank. No power loss/gain with the different grades. The only difference was what I spent on gas.

I have a service plan with my dealership, so my tires are rotated every other oil change, every 6,000 miles.

I use 87 with 87 tune. I rotate all five tires when i change my oil every 3000. It's overkill but it keeps me and my jeep happy.
