Finally talked the gf into a jk so we went to look at one today it was a 07 with 19k on it has a hard top auto trans skyjacker 5in I'm guessing, it's on 37/13.50/18 wheels and tires I can't remember the brand of front and rear bumper with tire carrier and nice rocker guards with a Ramsey 9500 lbs winch they were asking 24k for it so what the jeep gods think

 

Sounds like a good deal . Um wanted to let you know that the lifetime powertrain warranty they might be advertising only warranties the original owner. Other than that sounds like a good deal. You can probably talk them down because of expect gas prices. Maybe even wait a little till summer when the prices are high and that way they are more desperate to sell.

 

I would get a list of parts that it has on it. If it doesn't have a dana 44 up front that dana 30 better have the works. What about gears to turn those 37s. Also you should see after market drive shafts. How is the rust under it. Hate to say it but I could probably right a book on how to buy a modded jk.

 

Yea I didn't get a parts list felt like it had decent power so I'm guessing it was geared but from what it looks it was just the d30 cuz had no lockers or anything and if ur gonna build ur d30 what's the one thing ur gonna do is to put a locker in umm rust wasnt bad a lil more than my 10 engine was strong tires rubbed like hell tho and it had some rattles and vibrations i wasn't familiar with

 

I wouldn't buy it not for 24k. If she's not going to be wheeling that much, I'd look for one stock and through a few grand into that.

 

I mean sleeves, gussest, trust and axles. That would make a pretty strong Dana 30. If she ain't going to wheel it like said above you should buy a stock one. My 2008 2door x was 18500 with 20k on it

 

do you have any pictures of it's suspension and mods that way it will help us see what is on it and the condition stuff is in.

 

I didn't take any pictures like the body is in great condition a couple battle scratches but thats it but I don't we r gonna go for it cuz I'm a lil sketchy on buying modded things without knowing what was done to it or who built it like we seen it on auto trader and it looked like it only had a 3in or so and 35s which I could deal with but we seen it in person and dont get me wrong it looked nasty and I wanted it and so did she but I don't wanna get anything that big and she's never even owned a 4x4 so to go from a car to that yeeaaa I don't think so and plus my gf can't have a bigger jeep than me I just can't let that happen lol
