ok, i'm sick of waiting
i been looking online and there r 3 rubi's i could live with. got my capital one blank check loan in hand, and willing to pay to get it shipped, any advice? tips? for buying one in another state?
I'd recommend using a dealer in state that you have a relationship with if possible. They can do a trade and get it for you and that way you don't have to hassle with sales tax implications as well as registration which a dealer in another state probably won't be able to do.

Get what you want, don't just "live" with it. You'll be wishing you waited when you see the one you "wanted" drive on past. Considering the amount of money, get what you want. I lived with my F-150 and watched the one I wanted drive by on a regular basis.
well one of them has everything i want, except the color(i like white) this on is black, and its sorta growing on me. i went to the stealership today and had them call and try to trade for it, no dice, so i think i'm gonna buy and ship it here. the only headache is the taxes title and tags, but aaa says all i need is the cash and the title and the lender is letting the dealer send me the title with the rubicon.
Just FYI: My Mom came down here (VA) from NJ and bought a Toyota. The dealership took care of everything. She paid VA taxes and they registered it in NJ for her. They gave her a 30 temp tag and then sent additional temp tags as needed b/c NJ was so slow about it. The only additional fee was b/c NJ registration was more than VA.
What I am saying is, have the dealership take care of all of that. It can be done.

Not always. It depends on the States involved. And no company in any State can legally collect sales tax for another State unless they are registered to do so. That said, going out of State is certainly an option, but it's an option I'd pursue later. The other benefit of going locally is that you can build a relationship with a dealer near you. They're kind of a necessary evil.

LOL
If you buy it from out of State just make sure that the State you buy it from has the California Emissions requirement. Pennsylvania adopted this for all 2008 vehicles and you won't be able to register the truck here if it doesn't have the California Emissions on it....been there....done that.
