Default Ok so here is the situation

I have Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 33s right now. They only have 5,000 miles. I won the OME lift kit from Northridge and I like the look but as we all do I want to go bigger. I went by Discount tire to get my wife some new tires and out of curiosity I got a quote for some 35s. Well after hearing the 3000 dollar quote for them. I'm wondering how I could offset that price. Or if I want to go with other options. I can hold off because my 33s are still new but we all can look right. What do y'all think. Here is my jeep with the lift and 33s.

I just bought 35" Kuhmo Road Venture MT KL71 for under $1400 for five at tirerack.com, I would look elsewhere for a better deal.

3000 can easily be hit with certain wheel/tire combo's.

I would probably run your current set up until your tires are toast... Unless you think you can get a good chunk of change for them to offset going bigger?

I'm pretty sure there's a discount for being a JKF member. Check with the Discount Tire Co rep on here.

As for that price, it seems pretty steep. I replaced one of my Toyos about a year ago and it was $400 for install, balance, warranty, disposal fess....etc etc. So all 5 would only cost me $2,200 wost case.

By no means am I saying its a good deal at 3 grand, I should have mentioned that. Maybe the OP can post up the specs on what he was looking at. I run 35" mud grapplers and if I were to buy my wheel/tire combo new again id probably be around the 2500 range.

Anyways, back to what this thread was about

Definatly getting ripped. I paid $289 each for my Toyo Open Country M/Ts 35x12.50x17. Then it was only $17 each for mount and balance.

Total:$1224.00 for 4

Yeah I laughed when I got the quote. Not sure the exact tire I just asked for 35s on 17s with 12.5 width. Just crazy for 3 grand
