Which one do you think would win a head on collision?

i watched a show were they slamed a smart car into a concrete barrier at 75 miles an hour and the passenger compartment stayed pretty much intacted....they were surprised how well it survived.......

 

Smart cars have a complete roll cage. My dad owns one and they appear safe.

 

They would work for decent RTI ramp. That's about it.

 

If it happened fast enough, no one would feel any pain. There would just be tire marks on the roof and an exclamation in the JK "Did you just feel something?".

 

But do to rapid deceleration anyone inside would be dead. At least they will be easy to find and not thrown all over the road... but to me dead is dead.

If you hit the same concrete barrier in a bus at the same speed you may walk away with just a story to tell. Obviously the circumstances of an accident have alot to do with survivability. Some people die in minor "fender benders" and other walk away from major accidents.


I want to add that I am not one of those people that say I would never get a smart car because you will die in an accident. I actually like them and would own one.


And to answer the question. The smart car would probably win. The Jeep would probably get thrown upward and flip over while the smart car would drive right under the Jeep. I would rather not be in a head on accident at all, in any vehicle.
