I don't know so I'm asking...
It depends how old your battery is. When you run power hungry accessories it takes its toll on the factory battery...they can go quickly. I have used optimas in the past. They are good batteries. Going in to summer and winter are good times to replace because extreme heat and cold are hard on them

Thanks Ryan. Will see how long the stocker lasts. Will go with the yellow top if I ever have to replace

I had a yellow top die after 1 year of use. I was surprised. My current JKU has almost 100 k miles and 4 years of use on the original battery. I have had no issues with the stock battery in 4 years of new England summer heat and blizzard snow conditions. I suspect that this will be the year for a replacement battery. I will go with the yellow top.

My stocker died at like 2 years 50k I've been running yellow top with no problems since. Some people have their stocker die after 2-3 years. I think it's pretty common because I've seen lots of posts about it.

That's what I'm saying, there's batteries that perform equal to the optima, when you consider the cost. And the average life of any automotive battery is four years anyway. The hi-tech look of the optimas do make for nice engine compartment jewelry!

Does the yellow top fit inside the JKU battery compartment? Advance Auto says not without an adapter.
