Hey! My 08 is finally in BX after 1 month since ordering.

Sorry, I know this post isn't that exciting, but had to tell someone that 'would care' as my wife is sick of hearing about it...

 

Heheh... mine hasn't gotten there yet. In the 14+ yrs we have been married I have bought and sold a lot of cars. I am constantly shopping for my next vehicle, usually hers too. It's a disease. I need to make a ton more money so I can afford to have about 5 cars, that would just about do it... for a little while anyway

Wow, this seems to be cooking right along... I was really paranoid after reading several of the threads on people who are waiting.

As of 10/3, here is the status:

BD - special equipment processing
BE - edit error
BG - passed edit n/a for schedule
BGL - edit ok parts unavailable
BX - passed edit available for schedule
C - sub firm
D - firm schedule - dealer has allocation and all parts available
D - 1 gateline schedule - scheduled to be built
E - frame
F - paint
G - trim
I - built not ok'd
J - built ok'd
JB - shipped to body vendor
JE - emission check
JS - shipped to storage
KZ - released by plant , invoiced
KZL - released - not shipped
KZM - first rail departure
KZN - first rail arrival
KZO - delayed/recieved
KZOA - plant holds
KZOB - zone/distribution holds
KZOC - carrier delays
KZOD - carrier holds
KZOE - mis-shipped vehicle
KZOF - show/test vehicle
KZOG - damaged vehicle
KZOH - all other reasons
KZT - second rail departure
KZU - second rail arrival
KZX - delivered to dealer
ZA - canceled

The question this raises is, why are some going faster than others? There must be some level of prioritization based on the standing of the dealership with corporate, sell through volumes, and who knows what else...

 

At this point my concern over my order being significantly delayed appears unfounded.

At this point I am logging my updates under the guise of keeping others who are considering placing an order for theirs informed. But I am fully aware of the fact that in reality it's just my own sense of eager anticipation and satiating that through tracking the minutiae.

How the hell is yours jumping status so quick? I have been on order since June and only hit BX yesterday... No offense, but it's crap like this that is pissing off a lot of people waiting on their orders. Good for you, don't take my frustrations personally.

 

No offense taken... I would be frustrated too. Nobody likes to wait, and it's 100x worse when someone figures out how to "cut in line" ahead of you. At least that's how I'd feel if I ordered earlier than me and then someone who is not me cut in front of me (not the real me, but the imagined me...).... I mean... ugh, what the hell was I trying to say anyway

Well someday we'll both be driving instead of spending all our time here looking at Jeep porn hoping our wife doesn't catch us.

 

No wifey here... so my time is MY time. I can surf Jee-porn all I want...

It's just weird how the wait goes... I know it'll arrive eventually. Sure would be nice if it was sooner rather than later, but I know I'm not alone! Plenty in the waiting room with me.

 

Once you are assigned a VIN # does it mean you are in D1 status?

 

Ordered my 07 rubicon march 21st. changed to 08 some time in May-June. D status in August. Will be delivered tommorow. I have waited long and hope to reap the benefits tommorow. Wish me luck
