Default A P.O.'d Jeep Owner

Let me preface this post with this; I love jeeps, CJ's... I own a TJ, and now a four door JK. I absolutely love my TJ. It's built like a tank, never gave me problems, never sustained serious trail damage (miraculously), and was an all round well performing vehicle regardless of its 5.5" of lift / 35 x 13.5 baja claws, dana 44 front rear, ARB air lockers, rack, lights etc.
it still sounds like a dream and is relatively sweat free at 90k and a whole lot of @$$ kicking.

I recently bought my JK, two weeks after I buy it the entire drivetrain blows apart on the highway. Back from the shop almost three months later (due to dealer whining) I hit up a trail and put the nose down into a hole and stress the front axle and blow up the front diff. A month after that I am on a trip down to Escalante and sticking to the rough roads, my roll cage starts to rattle loose, the jeep starts overheating trying to keep up with a 7,000 ibs Land Cruiser, the torx screws on my hood have come loose then stripped themselves by bouncing up and down, my brake lines rub against my front fenders and rear shocks wearing them to the point of failure, I have excessive chassis flex... I mean come on I shouldnt be able to list off anymore reasons to hate this truck. I can, but wont. I guess I am looking for opinions here. Is my truck a lemon? Am I unlucky? Do any of you have similar problems with seemingly cheap parts, and half a.... engineering? I am almost ready to throw in the towel and buy a toyota land cruiser! SAVE ME FROM THIS HORRIBLE FATE.

I think you have been unlucky with your jk. I am not going to tell you it is a quality made vehicle, but I have 40,000 miles on mine with numerous mods. I beat the hell out of it. I has been on two wheels a good many times while wheeling and laid on alot of trees. The only issues I had were the tie rod bending. There are alot of guys on here with more miles than me that wheel just as hard. It is unfortunate that you have had so many problems.

Sounds to me that you have a lemon and a bit of bad luck.........I've had a few things go, but nothing like what youve had...all warranty replaced parts...I have to say, I'm satisfied with mine.....just not the Dealerships

It sounds like you have a lemon. Keep all records and check out the lemon law in your state.
I bought my JK used and I've given it rough treatment. I haven't had one problem with it. I think you just got a bad apple. I know Jeeps aren't the best built, but geez, they are not as bad as the luck you've been having. I hope things get better.

I'd like to know more of the history? Did you by this heep new or used? Did the previous owner build it out this way, or did you? Sounds like it's had a hard trail life. Abuse it, you lose it...

Sounds like you had some bad luck with the build, but I'm not sure it's Jeep's fault.

I bought it used (3 yrs old, 25k) with a 4" lift I think is more like a 2.5" 5.13 gears 33" goodyear MT/R LOD bumper and winch... thats it. I put on the Airrade and superchips and sway bar disconnects, besides that it is stock. There was (stress the 'was') no scratches to the underbody or skid plates, paint, or scratched wheels etc. Honestly not a lot of info on it when I bought it but I got it from a dealership.
