Default Paint Repair

Got a ding in the paint on my new 4 dr JK today in the parking lot and need to buff out the mark. Any suggestions on touch ups, cleaning products etc? I got no problem with war wounds, but I don't like having a teal ding in the drivers door...

Take it out on a trail and rub the side of it along a tree. You'll NEVER see the ding after that!

In the past, I've used the Turtle Wax colored stuff, whatever it's called. They have it in several different colors. Get the one that's closest to your color and apply it to the scratched area. It may take several layers to "fill" the scratch.

I assume they still make this stuff. It's been a few years since I've bought any.

Also, I only use this for scratches. I'm not sure how good it is at protecting, but it hides scratches well.

Well, as for the tree, my wife would kill me...she freaked out when I came home this weekend after trailriding and had mud all over it("You've had that thing a week and look what you've done to your new car!!!" - she doesn't understand, it ain't just a car)

I was able to put some elbow grease into it tonite with some soap and water and rub it out, it wasn't as bad as first glance indicated...
