Paranoid
Has anyone else become more paranoid by being a frequent flyer on these types of forums. Don't get me wrong, they are a great/invaluable source of information, but man I begin to worry about a lot of things that I hope never happen.
Ha - I can definitely empathize with you - it can be intimidating at first.
Just remember this: For every 1 problem someone posts, there are 100s if not 1000s of great things about JKs that go un-posted.
Just human nature - what's the old marketing adage? "A satisfied customer may tell one or two people about your product, but an unsatisfied customer will tell anyone who'll listen."

I just think of it as a way to do preventative maintainance on my jk. As long as you know what you are doing you can quickly check your rig for posted problems and know where to look if you hear a noise. Just keep it in perspective. No one has had all of the problems that can occur.
Yeah seriously! You've been reading about "C" clips and Death Wobble haven't you?

The best part of a forum like this is that you have "real-time" access to data.
Paranoid? Maybe, but I like being informed to potential hazzards... even if it never happens to me. Sounds like you do too, but it's not all "Doom and Gloom", just good info to keep an eye on.
Duffy out.
Here it is 16 months later and I haven't had any problems. Go figure.

Preventative maintenance is just that, preventative.
BTW ever wonder why pilots check the aircraft with a punch list before take off?
