Default Pentastar 3.6

I saw the numbers they say the new engine will give the JK 260 ft-lbs of torque and 290 horse power compared to our 202 hp with 237 ft-lbs of torque with our current engines.

Will it be a really big difference? I heard two more miles per gallon but I test drove the new cherokee with that engine and I really wasn't impressed

It should be better in the JK. The Grand is quite a bit heavier.

Don't forget, those numbers are in the top portion of the rpm range. How often do you operate the Jeep at those rpm's?

A better comparison would be to look at the dyno charts, and look at the area where you usually run the engine.
