Default Pentastar performance options?

A Pentastar isn't going to be in my future, but I have to ask because I just did the trip through the tunnel on I-70 today in my '09 w/35s, an auto, and the Superchips -- 45 MPH in the slow lane with the pedal to the floor. Ugh.

Any speculation on the first vendors to offer performance options for the Pentastar? I'd be very interested to hear thoughts on what Superchips and RIPP may have planned.

Just checked, and Superchips and RIPP do not offer anything for the 2011 Grand Cherokee w/Pentastar so I'd guess that we won't see products soon. Thought I'd seen a post from RIPP with a pic of a GC test mule but can't seem to find it.

You could RIPP your current Jeep and blow the doors off a Pentastar and it would probably cost you less money.

Has anyone talked to Superchips to get an ETA on when new firmware will be out to support the new engine?

Seeing as how they haven't even released support for the 2011 JK yet, I'd say it'll be a year minimum.

Understood. Just trying to get a conversation started on things like the RIPP for the Pentastar.

So would any and all agree that a RIPP on a 2007-2011 would be better performance then a penistar? I have 35's with 5:13. How would me mpg be compared to the same set up with a penistar.

Hypotheticals of course, what r it thoughts. I know the penistar is not out yet for the wrangler but I would just like to hear ur thoughts on this.

Better yet... RIPPMODS... show us the dyno sheets! 2011 JK + SC vs 2012 JK.
