Most don't know but the jeep wave originated when the military used wrangler in base. When officers drove past one and other in there gov. Issued wrangler they would always throw a wave. And that's why we try to carry the tradition on !!

In most cases, I'd bet that it's a stock Wrangler that doesn't wave back.
However, even among us "in the know" of the jeep wave, it's sometimes someone with the uber-heavily modded Wranglers who won't wave back at those with lesser-modded Wranglers. They might feel too cool to even pass a "mod-nod" less a wave...and I'd bet in many of those cases, they didn't even turn one wrench on their ride, just paid $$$.
You'll get used to it...just keep waving!
