Default "pop in neutral" issue (parts to be replaced)

Hi

A friend of mine needs to know what parts have to be replaced about the "pop in neutral" issue on the JKU 2008.

He's not covered by the warranty anymore, so please be sure of your response

thanks

Well, mine was under warranty. In mine, a bearing race cracked and the bearing failed. The trans must be fully disassembled, the bearing heated to about 200 degrees F and then placed to fit. Took my guy who is very good a full day for the repair. He may want to pay to have it done.

I took my rubicon in for this issue and a rear axle seal failure. I only had 3k miles left of the warrantee. I didn't even think the popping in to neutral was a big deal. They ended up replacing the tranny. So now I have a new one and a new clutch as well. I was surprised that they just replaced it.
