Default Popping noise

Have a 2010 Jk two door with a two inch lift of it on 35s and am hearing a popping noise from the rear end when I start to drive forward from a stop. Any suggestions on what it might be.

I have pretty much the exact same setup, and am now hearing the same thing...did you ever figure out what it was?

Same thing here, though I would call it more a solid clunk than a pop.

I first thought suspension, so given it was time, I replaced all control arms & bolts, shocks, springs & track bar bolts, but it was still there.

Then noticed exhaust was a little loose, so decided to replace that, again, it was time anyway, but still no luck.

Next things to check:
Broken transmisssion or transfer case mount (I add this as I checked things while I was replacing the exhaust this weekend and I was able to move my transfer case some, not sure if this is normal or not)
Something with rear differential?

I'm open to other suggestions on what to check.

Let me know if you figure it out. My '08 has done it since it was new. Before and after the 3" lift.

I had the same thing happen to me when I owned a Camaro SS. I put ZMax in it and it was gone. That product cleans your system. U put it in ur oil, gas tank, and somewhere else I forgot but get that or some kind of cleaner.

I had the shop that installed my lift (2.5 AEV) check it out yesterday and they heard the noise but were unable to figure out what it was...

I really don't think that it is anything in the transmission...the only reason I say that is that is it only happens when stepping into it from a complete stop...nothing happens when crusing around...

transfer case mount sounds like a possibility...I am going to check that out next.

I am going to ask a somewhat stupid question...did you buy the '08 new? so, you have been driving it for 3-4 years with no major issues?

Sounds like the rear brakes or parking brakes might be sticking.

When you say sticking, what do you mean? I know for me it's clearly a metal on metal clunk. Just trying to get an idea of what it could be in the brakes so I can check them out and look for something not right.

For mine, I've had it since new (11/07), but it has not done it always, it's really become noticeable in the last year and seems to be getting louder.
