Default price on a rubi

I have a guy who wants to sell me his 2008 Rubicon, 1,300 miles. Flame red, dual tops, every option but navigation. He wants $27,000. I offered him 26.. Is 27,00 a good deal? I can get a fully loaded sahara with nav for $26,300. Any help would be greatful, thanks

Personally, knowing what I paid for my fully loaded 4-Door Rubicon, I'd say NOOOOO. There is a thread on here somewhere about how much people paid for their JK's.

I don't think that is horrible. That is probably a $35,000 sticker on that rig and you could probably get a brand new rubi loaded similiar for $26,000 and also get a lifetime powertrain warranty with it. Ball is in your court, offer him $25k and see what he says. You'd be surprised what people will sell something for in tough times.

the sticker was 34 and change. New from the dealer I priced out around 29,000. Is there really much ride difference between the rubicon and sahara? Some people i talked to hate the rubicon ride and say the sahara rides like a car.

34K sticker 2009 rubis go for 29.5K here. That sounds like a horrible deal without a lifetime warranty.

A left-over brand new 2008 rubi that stickers for $34k can be had for much less than $29.5k

I paid $30,606 out the door for my 2008 Rubicon loaded and with My Gig. I would think you could do considerably better than I did. I always go in with the attitude I am at least going to be skinned a little bit.
Whatever you do I wish you luck and a wonderful Holiday Season.

go silver, the silver looks awesome, check out "SGT.EVIL" Besides black will look dirty more often. Unless of course you're in a particularly rainy part of the country then it really won't matter. Here in Cali Silver is popular cause it always looks clean. Of course that's why I got Jeep Green.
