Problem with LoD bumpers

Default Problem with LoD bumpers

Hi All,

I ordered front and rear LoD bumpers directly from LoD back on Jan 28th. A couple of hours later I received an automated email from them that said the order was processed. I contacted them again on Feb 9th because I had not received the order or heard anything else from them. They apologized and said the system should have not sent the automated email indicating the order had been shipped and that they had about a 3 week lead time.

The product still had not arrived at the end of February (4 weeks later), but I was going to be out of town on business travel the first few weeks of March and figured they would surely arrive by the time I returned. They did not. I called them again on March 17th (now 6 weeks after I ordered) to see what the status was. They told me the order had been shipped, but they called be back two hours later and said there was a mistake and order was not shipped. They apologized again and promised to ship it right away.

Two weeks later the product had still not arrived. I sent them multiple emails the first of April and received no reply. After not getting a response for several days, I sent them an email informing them I wanted to cancel the order. Again, no reply. Two days later They send me an email claiming they cannot cancel the order because it has been shipped. I was happy it was finally on the way. They gave me FedEx tracking numbers indicating the product had shipped (2 days after I canceled), but I was happy they were on the way.

Well the packaged arrived this week, but they only sent one bumper and the spare tire rack. Even though they had told me the order what shipped, they did not mention that the front bumper was not part of the order.

So here I am now 10 weeks after I placed the order and I am still waiting. I have asked them again multiple times for the status of the front bumper and so far they are not responding. It seems like a nice product but this is getting to be a joke. I wished I had ordered them from Northridge, but I did not know they carried the product until after I had already ordered direct from LoD

What should I do? Should I just send the rear bumper back to them and say forget it, or should I keep letting them play me for a fool?

send the bumper back and dispute with credit card directly

x2. 10 weeks is long and especially if they didn't send the front bumper with it. With all the games they have been throwing you I would just end it now and go with northridge.

ehh sending it back would be a pain the ass i would maybe think of getting a different front bumper. ?? i know i would be pissed too and i feel your pain. sorry you have had such a hard time with them.

WOW that sucks, I cannot believe the way some of these after market companies operate. Did they charge your credit card when you first ordered it? I'm sorry but I think its criminal they way these companies that do that operate, they dont keep you informed, they dont meet anywhere near there date of when the product will ship all the while they hold onto your money. I could see waiting a few weeks, but months is just insane. Could you imagine going to Bestbuy paying for a TV and waiting and then waiting some more to hear from them, not hearing from them when you email or call them several times. Yes I understand they arent a HUGE company like bestbuy but if they know they cant get the bumpers built in a timely manner then hire more freakin people, if they could actually produce product in a timely manner they would actually sell more. Not being able to get the date the bumper would be built correct or close to correct(close being within less then a month of what they originally said) is incompetence or they just dont give a crap about their customers. The way they dont respond to calls and emails I would say they dont actually give a crap.

I guess I would wait if you got one already, though I would be pissed the hell off, you've waited this long already, I would have canceled long ago.

I too ordered mine from Chris, and there was a problem. He took care of it and I had my bumper a week later. I give my experience with them

Was Chris from LOD contacted?

How was this resolved? I hope the bumper arrives soon and is on the jeep so we can see. I have heard nothing but good things about LOD recently, and the products are some of the best looking.

You should call LoD. I know they pride themselves on good service and will square you away if you call. Could be worse, guys have waited 3-5 months for another brand of bumper.
