Default Props to the CoolTech UltraMount

I wasn't totally sure where to post this. There are alot of criticisms on this website and negative feedback in general, so i thought i would take a few moments to post a picture, and promote one of our sponsors.

I mounted the CoolTech UltraMount Antenna a few months back. It worked great despite my minimal soldering abilities.

About a month ago my jeep was hit in a parking lot. Basically the guy next to me made too sharp of a turn while pulling out and caught my licence plate holder. pretty much destroyed the little plastic holder and bent the crap out of my lisence plate.

The cool thing was that the UltraMount didn't even budge. The impact was enough that it put a good size dent in the corner body panel and chipped a bunch of the paint off. yet the mount stayed put.

I have the same mount and I'm glad to hear it held up. Sucks you had to find out the quality the hard way though

Cool

Props to CoolTech.. Also, glad to see you spelled "soldering" correctly. Most Americans call it "sodering".

I am very happy to here that your mount held up with your little fender bender, Sorry you had to find out this way, that it's a tuff little bugger.

I just ordered one ( Ultra Antenna Mount ) for my JK. At least I will know in advance that it is a good product. Again sorry for your mishap......

Nice write up.
I'm planning on getting one too.
As the story goes, an unhappy customer tells a thousand people but a happy customer tells few unless they ask.
p.s. disturb is with a 'u' but who's looking?

I like this mount to, it was the first thing I had ever installed on a vehicle myself. The antenna whacks the hardtop sometimes (only on very rough stuff, never on the road), but there are no marks yet. Also it doesn't stick up much over the roof, which is a pro/con at the same time.

But for the ease of install, and everything included in the kit you can't really go wrong.
