Called a dealer in Denver area about a Rubicon Unlimited in his inventory. He said "the owners wife has been driving it for about the last 800 miles. We got a price of $37K on that one. It's the only one with a hard top in the country."

The MSRP on it new is $34K

I wished him luck...

Did you ask him if it was a prototype hard top, beings as how it was the ONLY one?

i'd love to see the look on this guy's face if you were to bring him to the "show & tell" section of the website, or even better - my.project-jk.com

Yeah DC only made on. It's an 8 piece modular top with pop out safari windows, and a beverage center. Oh I forgot, it looks like a regular hard top on the outside (black and such) but from the inside, it's completely clear. It looks as if you have no top on, but you do.

It's used in my book.
Since the owners wife has had her sweaty a$$ parked in it for a month, they are asking $3K over MSRP. It is the only one in the country after all...

He also informed me that I would be lucky to get the one I ordered in 7 months. He might not have been too far off on that one.

gee thats funny, when i picked up my 4 dr JK Rubicon back in november for $29,500 i swear it had a hardtop on it, and i thought it still had it on today when i drove home,,, let me go check.......... Yup, i've got a hardtop. Apartently i have the only other hardtop rubicon in the country. lol. I would not have wished him luck, i would have told him he needs to be smacked or lay off the crack! Just keep looking, the rubi's are out there.
