Default Purchasing Question

Posting this to the larger forum and deleting from the other thread.

So I have several options available to me in purchasing a new Jeep, one being the Chrysler affiliate Reward. Questions are as follows.

Has anyone used this program before; if so, what is your take?
Is there room for dealer negotiation above and beyond this?
Is one better off using this or negotiating for themselves?
What is the benefit to the dealer? Do they get a larger kickback on this from Chrysler vs. what they would get if someone negotiated down?

As much as I want a good deal, some of the dealers I have been working with have been awesome and would like to be as fair as possible with them.

Thanks in advanced

Awesome dealers? Probally the rarest thing of all in the Jeep world.

Touche'.

I should have probably stressed the work "some". Not sure why it always has to be such a difficult thing to buy a car for a good deal. Really dumb IMHO.

Seems to me manufacturers would be just as well, if not better off selling cars direct to the public. But of course, thats just my consumer opinion.

When I was looking to purchase my JK I looked into the Affiliates program, got the code, took a copy of my paycheck and for me it did not work. Once I pulled out that piece of paper, abut 1/2 way through the negotiating process, they ran the numbers and said it would be $1000 more than what we already negotiated, so for me it was either/or, not both. I left and found a better deal on a left over 08.

With that said it did not cost me anything to get the company code and to file the paperwork online took 15min so it worth it to get it and bring it, because you never know. Shop around, it took me over a month and 1/2 and I looked in 2 states to find a deal I was comfortable with but they are out there.

Good luck.
