Question Push buttons on instrument panel.

I forget what they're called, but I'm talking about the two in the gauges. The one on the left toggles between outside temp, compass, and trip info; and the one to the right toggles between mileage and trip A and B mileage. Does anybody else hate how difficult it is to get to them to change settings? Sorry if this was already covered, but I haven't seen anything about it.

You aren't the only one, it's like a puzzle trying to reach back to push them.

Hint. Don't try to reach through the steering wheel and push on one when turning. I actually tried it once, but only once.

I find it easier to use the opposite arm (left arm for right button).

That's why I decided to get an auto, couldn't shift and check my outside temp while turning!

I agree. Very busy around the steering column. If you drop the steering wheel down it helps. Of course then you are trapped in the jeep. My other gripe about this area is the roaming cruise control. I would prefer it stayedin one place, rather than spinning around the wheel.

Off topic a bit but ....My only complaint about the JK is getting my big "man paws" around the wiper control. The space between the steering and center dash console is way too small.....All else is good though

Doing those things keeps a person humble. Sure glad I didn't run off the road when I did that.
