Default Pushing the D30- 38's? 40's? anyone?

Running the 37/12.50/15's GY MTRs/kevlar on my D30 currently and it has performed like a champ. Is anyone running the 38/14.50/17's on a D30 or even the 40's? Despite popular belief, the D30 (im sleeved and gusseted) has been just fine even after trips to Moab and Colorado. Im looking for feedback if you are running larger.

Default Give it time....

It's just a bomb with a timer and your count down started when you went large on tires you can't sleeve and gusset that tiny little ring and pinion.

4.88's with manual tranny. We will continue to hit Ut and Co once or twice a year with it. After three years of daily driving coupled with trips to Moab I am confident to keep running the setup with 37's. Im looking at new tires and considering a bump in size. Looking for anyone that may have done this.

Rock-On. I wheeled my 30 hard with 37's until it finally broke the stock shaft. Had a great time doing it.

how many threads on this subject are there now? we really need to do something about this constant repetition of subject matter, the search button can help a lot and so can google in getting the answers you want. There is actually the same question 2 threads above this one right now, check it out and it'll explain a lot.

Well you've already thrown caution to the wind and ran 37s when everyone says you can't why not go bigger. Obviously your doing something right. Why not see what it can handle. I can't say I could do that unless I had a wole new 44 or 60 laying in my garage for when it did break.

There needs to be a poll study for 37s plus and how long before you broke your d30... Or if. I think most people that haven't broke something

A. Road use only
B. very cautious

Thanks Read my OP again. I went through other threads. Everyone, much like yourself in this thread, gave opinions. My OP was searching for the "needle in the haystack"; someone who may have real world experience. It is a long shot, but I threw it out there.

I think I may just do that and report back. Kicking around getting a pr44, but as a flat lander in IA we see rocks only 15-20 days a year when we point the nose west. Would like to know if the d30 can handle 40's on a couple trips a year. I just may have to answer my own question on this one.
