I test drove two soft tops before I bought my hard top.
I have to agree that the soft is a pain in the.....
Taking off the front portion of the hard top is only a minute or two. (and I get better mileage than soft with the top on)

If this was your first time it gets easier, in reference to pulling it from the door frames. I agree though that the full fold up procedure is a pain. I just took mine off completely and got a bikini and trail cover.

Be a real Jeep owner!! Get a softtop!!! Quit trying to turn my beloved Jeep into a doggon minivan!!! lol Just Kidding, to each his own. My soft top is not difficult at all to put up or take down to me.

Mine is sitting out there right now with no doors and a safari top. I have it parked under one of those 10'X10' quikset canopies. I have even found out in case of rain and wind I can lower it allmost all the way down and the frame rests on the roll bar. I have been doing this for a couple of weeks and even posted a thread on it with pics however it does not show it lowered. When not at home I think I am going to get a trail cover however last year while in Florida visiting family we used a tarp and bungee cords to keep the daily afternoon rains out.

Mine was a PITA the first time to do, did not help that it was only 60 degrees outside. It will get easier once it's stretched out a bit.

X's 2 on that. First time it was 25 minutes and a whole string of GDMFSOB's.

Now I can get it up (sorry, put it up) and have all the windows zipped up in about 10 min or less with no cussing.

Don't give up
