Question??
I have a 2.5" suspension lift with springs and would like to get a little more clearance. What is the recommended maximum body lift I can add without running into future issues? Also, is this something I can install myself? I heard some issue about the driver side airbagthat sounded like BS, but wanted to ask anyhow. Thanks
If your suspension is already dialed in and where you want it why mess with geometry when a small amount is needed. Body lift is perfect for that extra amount. Plus it is a lot cheaper than flat fenders and probaly easier to put on.
I've got a 4.5" kit and 37's. It is perfect and is dialed in for my needs. no need to mess with any other suspension components at this time. But, if I wanted to go bigger I'd start with a body lift then go flat fenders...then maybe 40's....
but then I'd need bigger axles....dam...see what you started....

Your springs will have nothing to do with a body lift. A body lift is just bunch of spacers that are put in where the body meets the frame, lifting the body a set amount off the frame. Engine, transmission, suspension, and all the skid plates are attached to the frame and therefore will not be getting any added ground clearance. The only thing that will change is the amount of space between your wheels(attached to the frame) and fenders(attached to the body).

That's why I'm looking for is room between my fenders and 35's. I rub like crazy, gonna trim the fenders too but looks like I can go as big as I want although don't like much more than 1.25". Thanks all
