Default Question about 2010 Soft Top

I'm going to look at a soft top tomorrow to hopefully pick up for my 2dr. My question is what is the best way to make sure its a 2010 soft top that uses the cables and not the drip rail? I have never had a soft top before so I don't even know what to be looking for other then quality.

Thanks

I heard that the soft top 2010-2011 works with one spring on each side. But I don't know if these springs are on the 2 or 4 door JK

The soft top 2007-2009 doesn't have spring

Hi,
The 2010 softop does have the cables on them, if you are getting the 2010 top make sure you get all the parts that came with it, I purchased an 2010 softop 2 door for my 08 from Kijiji with all the parts and it fits perfectly, what you have to watch out for is the surrounds, in the 08 the top's edge gets hooked up into the surround but in the 2010 the top just rests on the surround and the cable holds it in place.
Hope this helps
Reg

Easy. If you can open the Sunrider part of the top in less than 20 seconds, it's a 2010 top.

I just unlatch the header latches and wait until I am doing about 15mph then flip it back from the driver's seat. Done.

Ok, assuming its not on the Jeep that im buying it for the key is to look and see if the door surround has a area at the top of it to hook the soft top in to? Is that right? Should I be able to feel the cables inside the edge of the soft top? Are there any pics of the apparent differences?

Cheers

I had a two door and the factory soft top had springs in the rails for the sun rider portion of the top.
