Whenever I get new tires, I'm going to get the same kind I have now. The spare is the same as well. Should I take the spare off and put it on the Jeep and have a new tire put on as the spare? I don't want the spare becoming dry-rotted or anything in case I ever have to use it. Or should I just get a new spare along with the other four new tires?

What's your thoughts?

 

Does the wheel match? Have you thought about a five-way rotation?

 

Yeah the wheels all match. I haven't thought about a 5 way rotation. I was thinking more along the lines of buying 4 new tires and putting the current spare into the new rotation and then using one of the new tires as the spare.

Because the tread wear is considerable between the 4 tires now and the spare, I may just hold off in putting the spare into the rotation until I get new tires.
