Default Question about the Procal

The answer to this question is probably somewhere on this forum but I've read a bunch and I can't seem to find it. I am getting a 2014 wrangler and curious will any Procal work or does it have to be specifically made for 2014?

No not any will work. But the newer ones out there will. I forgot what model year it was but I will tell you the one I used in my 2013 works in my 2014. Do a search for which procal serial number you need.

American Expedition Vehicles - Brute Kit, V8 HEMI, Aftermarket Jeep Conversions, Products, Wheels, Accessories and Highline Kits for Jeeps (TJ, JK, WK, XK).

This is what I was trying to say! Check out tech specs in link.

A minute or so on the ProCal web site yielded this:

Application: 2007+ JK Wrangler
Made In: United States
Revisions:
Due to updates in vehicle electronic systems and the existing code on inventory, some Procal modules were made before the changes required for newer vehicles. Please take a look at the part number on the module itself (not the box), there should be a white sticker with a part number, the last two letters of that part number are the revision.
AA/AB/AC – Works from 2007 up to 2011 (these early Procals may not have a label, if your Procal does not have a part number it is likely an AA, AB, or AC)
AD/AE/AF/AG – Works up to 2014

Thanks for the replies. Reason I'm asking is because there is module on eBay is says it's good up to 2013 but the part number doesn't have the letters listed after it.

Don't chance it unless it has the correct code.

your best bet on is? Saving a couple bucks on eBay isn't worth the chance or headache of screwing up your rig. Just order it direct.

I never see anyone recommend a FlashCal on these forums, why is that?
