I could probably find the answer through looking at previous posts , but thought it would be easier this way .
My question is , if I were to get a lift .... lets say 3", on my 2010 Rubicon Unlimited , could I run on the stock tires ? Or would I need an immediate upgrade to larger tires ?

Keep your tires. Don't spend on the bigger ones just yet. Plus, if you 4-wheel the articulation of your 3" lift and stock tires will be incredible. I have practically a 4" lift on 33's. I love the look and the articulation is unreal. Oh, and you will get a tad more better gas mileage with your stock tires.
PS: not sure about others but me, personally, I would much rather use my money for traveling and learning about other cultures (your Italy trip) than spend cash on tires I don't need. Just my .2 cents

Awesome ! I thought maybe it was necessary to get bigger tires , because I thought maybe it would throw the balance of the vehicle off or something like that . Know what i mean ?
I agree with the wheel spacers comment. I ran mine without spacers for a few months, then installed some 1.5" wheel spacers and I think it rides better. Could be psychological, but it makes sense to me that if I raise the Jeep, I should also widen it. Good luck with the Jeep and have a great trip!
