Hello I have been talking to someone about a set of good year mt/r he sent me a pic attached here and said the tires have about 22,000 miles on them. I am wondering how much do you think is left. Here is the pic

 

Tough call. Ask him to stand the nickle up on one of the tread wear indicators. They are small "bumps" that are in the bottom of some of the "valleys" in the tire tread. They are there to use as a guide for tread depth. When they are even with the tread, there is 2/32" of tread left. By standing the nickle on the very bottom of the valley, it is deceptive at how much tread is left. Taking that into consideration, I would guess there's less than half tread left.

Looks like they have a little life left, but MT/Rs wear fast. You probably won't see 30K out of those tires (if you value off-road traction).

 

Looks like less than half to me, which seems reasonably accurate with the milage estimate on them.
