Question for Bedlined interiors
I pulled the carpet out about a week ago after I dumped all the rain water that had puddled on my cover into my jeep. Smooth move!! I was just planning on leaving it out and bedlining the interior.
I've noticed a lot of heat in the floorboard coming off the engine. Does the bedliner provide adequate insulation to keep the heat down? I was planning on getting buying the raptor package, but if it's still really hot I may have second thoughts.
Thanks!

i have Line-x and it made a huge improvement over just bare metal floors. I can hold my hand on the floor near the transmission hump with no issues.
It will never be as cool as having carpet in place but the benefits of having a completely Line-x'd tub by far outway any negative aspects.......just my

Obviously Line-X is probably the best but what is the best "cheap" do it yourself product?
For you guys that have done this:
1 - did you scrape out that funky rubber lining stuff that is in the tub in a couple of spots?
2 - did you bed-line up over the side rails right to where the soft top clips in?

Thanks for the information. I do have the Mopar floor mats and they keep the heat down under my feet. I really feel it from the transmission hump more than anything.
We have a big group driving down to Destin this weekend and I don't think I want to put up with the heat on a 3.5 hour trip. I love the look without the carpet. I just wanted to take my time with the prep work and bedlining.

Take out the sound deadening goop. When I removed mine the driver side had surface rust underneath. That's the side that previously had been under water about a year before. It looks much better as well
I did the interior of my TJ myself with the cheap-o do-it-yourself Rhino Liner that you can get at AutoZone. I made sure to do my work when prepping it and it came out great. The heat from the engine never seemed to be an issue for me once it was on.
If I still tracked as much mud and sand in my JK as I did my TJ, I wouldn't hesitate to line it again.

This is one of the first mods I did to mine and one of the best. I left the sound deadening material in. I would suggest doing the door sills, fender wells and the bottom edge of the Jeep. I also went over the rail in the rear.
