Default A question for Canadian owners

Hey guys. I'm looking at ordering a Wrangler Unlimited Sahara in the next month or so. I was just curious as to what people are paying for this vehicle ordered from the dealership. I've posted my desired setup below for reference. Thanks in advance!

You can probably get a discount on a Sahara, especially one on the lot.

Rubicon Unlimited? Forget it.

Yeah. As beautiful as the Rubicon is, I don't think I can justify it. I don't think I'd do all that much hardcore off roading to justify the price difference. I plan on ordering the Sahara, as I'm not in a huge rush, and I want to get the above specifications without exception.

I'm just wondering what ballpark prices people are paying. One of the local dealers was trying to sell me a used Sahara with 10,000 km's for a little over 34,000, which I find ridiculous.

Just ordered an 08 Rubi unlimited 4dr. price after taxes and all the other junk was $34092.31. Options-Dual tops, deep tint. Rest is how it comes. no mygig. Trading in an 00 TJ Sport. Bottom line, I'm paying 26, 900 taxes in.

I have found you are going to be paying MRSP at most dealerships right now. I know I found a 4 door sahara with all the options I wanted except color (Red Rock - 2nd choice) over Rescue green. However, it was a demo model used by the owner with 5000km. They still wanted Sticker for it plus they claim it's not a used vehicle till it reaches 10,000km, What is up with that???

I even asked if they would throw in extended warranty and a few accessories if I bought it for $3500 under sticker....NO DEAL....So I walked and ordered one from factory at another dealership. I may wait awhile but I am getting a vehicle that I want, plus....if my Jeep order does not make it in till Jan 1, 2008.....GST goes down to 5% and I save a few hundred for accessories. As well, they may come up with some incentives on the Wranglers in Canada???

The one I priced out & ordered:
Wrangler Sahara 4 door - 4wd
Rescue Green
6spd manual
tow package with 3:73 rear
Limited Slip
Dual top
Sirrius Radio

Final total quote: $32.220.00 CDN with Destination, A/C & Taxes and Levies

I don't understand why Canada does not have the unlimited Powertrain warranty like the USA????

i think us northern guys are getting hosed!!!!

Hey, I've got a question for our neighbors to the north! What the hell do you call Canadian Bacon in Canada? Is it just bacon? This question is part in jest but also part real, just always wanted to know...any help would be groovy, baby!
