Default Question for manual Tranny owners 2012 models

I just drove a 2012 Sport with a stick tonight. I am ordering a 2013 Rubicon tomorrow and I am getting the 6 speed. WTF is up with that ugly shift boot?

If anyone out there has the leather interior on the 2012 can you please post some pics? I have an 09 Sahara with a stick and it has an accordian style rubber boot. The one on the Sport 12 I drove looked like the udder on a cow. They didn't have a leather model with the 6 speed so I could look at the interior, and the Call of Duty model I drove had an automatic.

Thanks in advance.....

I like the leather boot way more than the rubber one.

Do you have one? Pics please? JC whitney sells a rubber shift book like the one in my 2009 and my husband says it will fit the 2013 (same console).

I just thought it was bulky and I am picky.....hehehehe, yeah I really drive a jeep, but I can't help it. Hehehe

I have a 2011 6spd..pretty sure the boot is/was the same. I had this one custom made. Black leather with double stitching, 4" shorter than stock.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the "jumping out of gear" issue.
