Questions on tires

If I'm getting a 12.5 tire width what would the rim width have to be?

Most manuf. would reccomend a 8" min., but I know people that have them on 7.5's

It depends on the tire specs. You will have to check the specs of the tire, and that will tell you what range of a wheel it can be mounted on. For example 8 to 10 inches.
