quick question about tires
got bored yesterday and decided to rotate my tires. i noticed on three of my tires that the middle of the tire was wearing more...is this just from overinflation or is there another problem?...i have been having trouble with balancing issues with my tires so i didn't know if there could be another problem...i have 265/75/16's and try to keep them at 33psi
Yup - sounds like over-inflation. When you've got too much pressure, you're "rounding" the tire ground-patch, and only wearing the center tread. You can read more about it here:

Also, just to be 100% sure, try a chalk test on your tires to see what pressure you should be running to get the best wear out of them. (and probably the best ride too)

i don't think so i check pressure periodically and they've usually stayed the same psi...that's why i posted b/c i was confused that it was only 3 of the tires that had this problem...i was running them at 35psi for about two years and decided to drop them down to 33 psi this year...i've had these tires for 3 years now and could never get them balanced right...always had a vibration at 48-52mph...hopefully in the next couple of months i'll have some 33's...i've had bfgoodrich on 3 of my vehicles but i think i'm gonna try the falken wild peaks this time
