Rain-X on a soft top.
It rained here yesterday, hard. I often drive in the dark since I get off of work late. My soft top has tinted windows, and when it's raining it's difficult to see out of the rear window when there are cars behind you.
Was wondering if putting Rain-X would help at all? Or if it's even a good idea to put it on the plastic windows.
Has anyone done this? If so, does it help/hurt/do nothing?

Don't put it on plastic! It will ruin your plastic windows.
Even if it did work it wouldn't help. There's not enough directional air flow on the back window to clear the water droplets off and you would just end up with nicely beaded water droplets that would still obscure your night vision.
Unfortunately with the soft top, poor rainy night vision to the rear is just another of the 'Jeep things'. You'll have to rely on your side mirrors.
