I will be getting a new clock spring in tomorrow, fingers crossed that that will fix all of the bugs.
Well I ended up replacing the clock spring, Pretty easy to change yourself and everything now works like new!

The rain came sideways, and filled the floor to the door sills. It took a week to completely dry. It stank afterwords, and all the metal under the seats, and anything not coated got a coating of rust. Some people don't care about that kind of stuff because "Jeep". But for me it's like anything else, I like to keep it as nice as possible. forward 3 years, and I don't have that 2010 anymore. My wife and I have an 08 2 door and 14 JKURX. Not gonna let those get wet. It's too simple to take the little extra time to seal it off when it's unattended than deal with wet and stinky for weeks. But that's just me. There are plenty of solutions for this out there, including that best top cover. Just take the time to make sure you're stuff stays nice and working to save yourself even more time, money and head ache.

To each their own.
To be honest, I think a lot of your problem may have been self induced. Did you pull the carpet and to let it air dry immediately?. At the very minimum the drain plugs should've been removed to aid in the drying.

It doesn't take rain to cause some rusting on the un painted/covered parts. This rust may have already been started due to humidity and moisture in the air. The only reason you found it was you finally pulled the carpet.

Not slamming, but trying to keep it real and offer insight to what you found.

Nah, it's all good. I did pull the carpet and put it in my barracks room that night. It was dry the next day. I put the plugs and carpet back in. The seats took the longest to dry. It was cold and rainy the next day, so top and doors went on. I dunno, maybe you're right, but I still feel I should have been more responsible with my nice new rig!
