The Rat Patrol
I put The Rat Patrol the complete series DVD on my wife's Amazon wish-list and lo and behold they ended up in my xmas stocking
Fun to watch those old jeeps tearing around in the desert blasting away. But then I had a Rat Patrol lunchbox in elementary school way back when, so maybe I'm biased.
Anybody else get a kick out of watching those old episodes?

It is one my all time favorite show which inspired me years later to pour all my meager funds and then some into a Willys MB-44. Unfortunately I never got a 50-cal to go on the back.
Looking back that rig ran like crap with a top speed of about 45 MPH with the windshield down, but it was the most fun vehicle I have ever owned.

Now I question myself when I realize it was the same plot every single episode with the same recycled action shots just like Baba Black Sheep

Enjoy!

Ha ya it's the same plot each time but still fun to watch.
besides my kid is young enough to get a kick out of it anyway.
Makes me want to take the top and doors off and put the windshield down this summer on my buddy's farm. I'd need to get an Australian cowboy hat and some cool goggles though.
I guess I could even take a rifle along
(anybody actually try folding their JK windshield down?)
For some reason I notice the little upgrades with episodes as they go along. Like when one jeep had AT's and upgraded to MT's.

Seem to see more and more of these old 50s/60s TV shows turning up on DVD box sets. Thinking that it has to do whith us Baby Boomer's trying to re-experience our childhood memories. Also found a lot of these oldies on Youtube.
