Rate the new Trek NX Soft Top
Rate the Trek NX 1 to 5 and explain why...
I rate it 4/5...
First I am a new Jeep owner, 10 months into it. First Soft top is the Trek NX from Best Top.
I just installed it today.
So here is my review with only installing it and no trail use.... Sept will have plenty of that..
I like the design idea a lot. (that's why I bought it)
The side windows seem like they will be easy to remove and reassemble.
The side at the top are hard to keep into the header. this will either get better as it stretches out or worse...??
The back window seems like it could have been designed better. (no experience with other soft tops) I think the back window should have a third zipper across the top and not that J-slide,,, what a pain.. (maybe the J-Slide is needed for horizontal give....??)
there are also two areas on the tail gate header that do not seal.. might not be an issue, and if it is this will be easy to fix with some foam....
I hope I find an easy way to go in and out of the rear area....
as for the instructions,,, not great not terrible.... I give them a C on those..
So I like it and hope it meets my needs for a Soft Top..
TBD's
Highway noise,
ease of widow removal and reinstallation
Weather proof = NO leaks..
Right now I give it a 4 out of 5... (rear window design)
all in all Best Top did a good job.....
Cheers...
