-3 here this morning... HOWEVER the PDO has turned positive which means the arcitc cold air will be CUT OFF at least for awhile...

so we should see some moderating temperatures in esp the mid sections of the country as the jet stream also moves northward as well... there is still a blockiness out east so it may not get balmy but will definitely warm up some...

I see 40s and maybe low 50s for a good section of the belly of the USA next week.. but not to be fooled.. there is still a lot of activity in the arctic which usually means we will see another couple good cold shots before spring arrives..

it is a La Nina winter which favors late, cool, wet spring...

However La Nina is FADING at a pretty good pace.. if that continues we will get a more normal spring time pattern soon enough

You should work for the weather channel. If you can make it 50*F here in Vermont, you have my vote...lol
