Unhappy Really shoulda thought this through...

Man, I'm so excited to finally have my 37's and new bigger lift on.... but im scared to wheel this thing now with the Dana 30 up front and it takes a lot more $change$ to build that thing up!
800 for chromo shafts i can do the work
700 for gears plus like 800 install
89 + labor for new C2 axle reinforcements

It's looking to me like a new 44 up front would be cheaper but then I'd still have to regear and i'd be scared to tear it up and have to do the same work to it.

looks like it's gonna be a highway crusier this summer

You'll still have to reinforce the axle Cs on the 44, too. I think the D30 will still be the cheaper of the two choices for you, because 4:10s ain't gonna be enough from the D44, with 37s.

yeah that's what im saying i still have to regear either way i go... not to mention the 410 gearing wouldn't match my rear 3.73

I sure hope your wife isn't aware of this dilema or if she is, just beg for it to be your B-day present for the next several years. Worked for me to get the big screen TV

Three 2008 vehicles and a new house, what's a new axle?

I agree short-term you can build the D30 cheaper and have it be adequate, but if the budgets not too tight I would go for the D44, and down the road you could still improve it and be better off yet. Plus it comes with an electronic locker which should be useful, if you factor the cost of a locker in with the D30 it might seem more viable to do the D44.

Does that mean that you and Kodi won't be coming to Disney for the fourth? Hey, come out anyway and we'll let you ride in someone else's JK. Heck, you can have my seat: I walk most of it anyway just so I can get a few pic's. LOL.

If i have the possibility of going i will be there!

I've decided im just going to trailer the jeep when i go to wheel so that if i break im not stranded! if i do break i can just let it set at the house while i save up cash!

It's deceptive... the 2008 chevrolet is my company truck but i have full rights to use it and the gas card that comes with it for any and all personal use within 250 miles of our office.
Now that being said... never having to pay for gas makes it pretty easy to make 2 other car payments but two other car payments makes it hard to buy a D44
