Default Rear passenger heater??

Has anyone attempted to vent some heat back toward the rear passenger area? My kids have been spoiled by my wife's Acura MDX and the rear heat. Short of seat warmers...any other ideas??

My heater works quite well. I aim the vents towards the back and the entire cabin warms up in just a few minutes.

Went to the shooting range with some friends the other day and just before we headed home a storm rolled in with rain, snow and lots of wind. I had the back windows off the soft top and one of the guys in the back commented that he felt like he was standing by a camp fire in the winter. He could feel the intense heat coming from the front and had the cold wind coming from behind. If I had put the panels back on we would all have roasted by the time we got home.

Your JK's heating system is more than up to the task of heating the Jeep. Remind your kids that it's a Jeep and not an Acura. Or better yet, try and take the Acura down a mild Jeep trail

Thanks brainiac. Not saying it has issues with the top on...they'd like to be more comfortable when the top is off and by the time we head toward home, they freeze their asses off and I'm toaty warm. If you have no bright ideas...keep 'em to yourself.

Default well, maybe this...

Ok, so I'll spare the cutesy comments. Seen a few guys talk about http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-Browse/s-10101/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2002903/p-2002903/N-111+10201+600002307/c-10101

No personal experience with them though. Hope that helps.

I havent done this yet but I bet the heated seat elements can be installed in the rears too. It should be easier than the fronts- I'm going to be working on something that spreads the heat more evenly this weekend maybe run some type of tubing towards the rear.

But the seat heater stuff should work. I'll try that too and do a write up.

Heated seats are a good idea. Looking to add to that too. Thanks for the link!

Staying warm int the backseat with the top off will be a challenge, as there is more wind buffeting there than in the front. Some options might include:

Electric rear seat space heaters
Fabbing & installing a heater core for the rear seat
Electric seat warmers (already mentioned)
Installing a sun top to reduce buffeting
Have the kids wear motorcycle heated clothing
Encourage them to dress more warmly
Put the top on

or
Resign yourself to carting them around in the Acura
