Rear storage
What are you using in the back to store tools, recovery kit, air compressor etc? Would like to eventually get ARB fridge as well. Please show me your pics. Gregg

Mark is an excellent source if your direction is overlanding and packing that stuff in there. If you are looking for something that is a bit more every day, I build a structure similar to ronjenx's plans and it's been one of the best things I've done in 6.5 years -

It can securely hold all of my tools and recovery gear, and fold forward to create a flat sleeping surface. Also, mine is bolted in via the 4 tie down bolts in the cargo area so it can be removed if it ever needed to be.
*****well, I just saw in your other threads you have a 2dr, so that likely isn't an option for you****

Those are other good ideas. Just a data point: Not all JKs have those four tiedown points. My 2007 doesn't, though I did add two to the rear (before Jeep ever offered them from the factory--I think they stole my idea and made it better. ;-) Not sure about OP's 2008 (just so he doesn't wonder what the heck you're writing about, LOL).

Using the "dead space" at the rear window(s) helped me store assorted tools, such as the https://www.amazon.com/saddlebag-Jee...1862841&sr=8-3
Depending on how you pack things, you could hear a rattle of stuff over some hard bumps but mostly its been a godsend for me when we travel. You can't use the left/rear window anyway, mightest well repurpose the space. There's also one for the right/rear.
