Recall # J24
I just got a recall notice from my local dealer 
.. I gives a recall # but no explination of what the recall is for. Does anyone know what recall # J24 refers to 
. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've read that this applies to only about 200 JK owners, but Chrysler doesn't know which 200 so everyone got the recall. I went to my dealer and they filled out some paperwork showing that the recall does not apply to mine.

That was good.
..I appreciate the answer though.. I did do a search and all the recall #'s I found did not show #J24..I did get the original recall from Chrysler but did not keep it and did not remember seeing #J24 on it...Oh well, I guess I will take it by and let them look it so they get me off the list..

That was good...I appreciate the answer though.. I did do a search and all the recall #'s I found did not show #J24..I did get the original recall from Chrysler but did not keep it and did not remember seeing #J24 on it...Oh well, I guess I will take it by and let them look it so they get me off the list..

The recall is for an aftermarket tow bar made to tow your JK ( like behind a motorhome ). If you didn't buy the towbar you don't need to worry about the recall. The recall for the towbar is sent to JK owners because there isn't a record of who bought the towbars but there is a record of who owns JKs and that is the vehicle the towbar would be used on.
